I did what I was banned for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh

Events leading to the ban

It was my first game as captain and i was trying to figure out how the nuked worked so i asked admins how would i get the codes not saying i would use it but i want my options open.

Then later there was a dragon a bunch of spiders and snakes medical was blown up and there was reports of a syndicate agent with a suit killing everyone while we had one sec.

I thought if i called evac then armed the nuke once evac had arrived then we would have enough time to leave the station and after we left the station the nuke would kill the dragon and everything else bad on the station.

I then asked the admins again if it was alright to do it or under any situation am i not allowed to, and got no response again.

With everyone dying and me wanting to see how the nuke works i went to insert the disk and if the admins replied saying it was ok then no harm done because the code wasnt in.

When evac arrived i decided lets just leave and not try to nuke and left the station.

when the round was over i asked people in ooc chat if i could do it and how to do it, i was told by one person that i had to ask CC for the codes.

Then after a couple rounds a admin finnaly replied to me and then decided that what i did was so bad that i deserved a ban instead for 14 days and then when i was trying to explain they kept saying that i shouldnt have done it reguardless and ignoring the fact i was just trying to understand what i cant and cannot do.

they then refused to talk to me further after i asked if i should join the discord and talk in vc and try to explain.

I then joined the discord trying to talk to one of the admins when 1 of them replied saying to use this. (thanks jarmer if your reading this and sorry for dm again i didnt know if there was a channel for it or what.)

Reason the ban should be removed

I think a 14 day ban for only putting the disk in the nuke not knowing if it was ok or not while asking questions to make sure it wasnt an issue is to extreme especially when they refused to hear me out and already decided to give me a sentence before letting me finish and even hear my story is too extreme.

After reviewing this with 2 other admins and one trial admin, I am going to uphold this ban under the reasoning that this is your 2nd command ban for extremely similar circumstances quite literally one day from your past command ban expiring.

An excerpt from rule 1.1 is relevant here as well.

If you are unsure of something, follow the more restrictive option until you are able to ask an admin and get clarification.

You attempted to brute force the nuke codes anyways.

The captain or any nonantag and even most antags for that matter cannot arm the station nuke under any circumstances without admin approval.

If admins choose to allow you to do so, you would have been informed either way.

This ban will be upheld for the time set originally.

Ok going down to up i think at 15:10:19 thats is when i inserted the disk in as stated in logs and then the 2 above it i dont know what those are me could be me opening the gui and looking at the the examine screen no idea tho i dont know the code off this game.

But i dont think you can even enter the code before you insert the disk, this is all assuming its going from latest to oldest
