Ban reason: Lizard 77426. OOC insults to players. Harrassment. In LOOC, you harrassed multiple players, and claimed they were harrassing you during ahelp. After investigation, this was found to be the opposite.

I did what I was banned for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh
Events leading to the ban
The events leading up to this ban, and the reasons for it happening in the first place occured over multiple rounds (~2-4). In one of those previous rounds, I was playing a detective and trying to do my normal sec job when multiple events lead to me being demoted by the captain and hos (supposedly capt., but i only got that from hos’ word of mouth). This included a mime blocking the entrance to sec and working with clown to mess with security, which lead to a scuffle in dorms where the mime pulled a knife. During this I used my revolver, having recognized the deadly weapon and seeing my disabler had little to no charge left. After cuffing the injured mime, i said in frustration to DNR them, to which a cadet argued with me saying that I couldnt make that decision.
Another incident in that round was a wanted CMO, who when I tried to arrest them, they hypo’ed me multiple times with a chemical that brought me to crit within a few seconds, to which they began gloating about how I was going to die. I did do something sec shouldnt, by telling that CMO who just injected me that they were dead too, as I dragged them into maints before collapsing from their drug. Those two main events, along with a lot of arguing and shouting, are what lead to my demotion and by the end of the round in evac, I saw the hos was fighting nukies and when he demoted me, he left my combat boots on and they still had my revolver. Because of the events that led up to the demotion, I was frustrated with hos and assumed my character would be too, so I ended up firing at them before jumping on evac. Then, later in evac I made my way into medical after seeing hos’ body being worked on by the CMO and took the oppourtunity to take him from crit to dead before the CMO once again injected me and killed me to end the round.
After this round, I had a couple rounds where I just got bad antag roles and didnt want to play out the rest of the round out of frustration, leading to an arguement with an admin. Then, I had a little break from wizden, and when I came back I ended up having a very fun nukie round with a china lake, along with a few rounds that didnt frustrate me. Either during, or before, the round I was banned in (not sure) I had dealt with a frustrating CE that trapped nuke disc in a singularity containment box, and one of the antags (I assume?) built a disposal that threw people into the field, killing them with brute. I was tossed into this disposal for standing still for a second, and was killed before being brought back to medical.
During the round I was banned (I remember it happening specifically in this one), the player that had played the CMO from the previous incident came to sec, and upon seeing me, they metagamed recognizing me from that round. Then later, when I was trying to identify a theif during the usual ss14 chaos, they came to explain to me space law and fingerprinting in LOOC and to tell me I was breaking rules. After this, I was frustrated and decided to go to cryo and stop playing for the day. Before I could cryo, I got an ahelp asking me why. I hadn’t ahelped during this round, and was messaged first. I told them that I was being harrassed by this player, and that I just wanted to enjoy playing the game. They said they would look into it, and that I could still leave if I wanted to. I looked at the manifest and saw there wasnt many sec on the station besides cadets, so I decided to stay. Later on in the round, after doing a no-knock raid on cargo with hos, the capt, and a couple cadets and secoffs and dying to nukies, i recieved another ahelp message. The admin asked me if i knew if there was a rule against ruleslawyering other players, and I assumed they were talking about the other player (CMO). They then said there’s also a rule against harrassing players in ooc/looc. I argued with the admin that the player was being just as agressive and argumentative as me, and the admin quoted me calling them “fatty”. After that, I was watching the rest of the round play out, when I got an ahelp telling me that I was being banned for a week for harrassing players and ruleslawyering them in the lobby chat. I tried to ask the admin what they were doing about the other player who had originally made me go to cryo, leading to an arguement where the admin told me “you have no concept that your actions have consequences. Your ban is now indefinite.” and before I could say anything else, they banned me.
Reason the ban should be removed
I believe that the ban being escalated from a 1 week ban (which was totally understandable) to, effectively a permanant one, was an unnecessarily agressive escalation of the whole situation. I recognize that harrassing players over a pixel game is dumb, and I shouldnt be doing it, or even getting so invested in the game to the point im getting frustrated and angry at the other people when they’re just trying to play the game too. I wasn’t able to get a chance to tell this to the admin during the ahelp due to their quick escalations. The idea that I have no concept that what I do affects people is rediculous, because I know as much as my actions affect others, so do theirs affect me as well. I don’t expect to be unbanned instantly, and i don’t even expect to be unbanned at all really, since I have a lot of negative experiences when it comes to dealing with game admins in other games, but if nothing I can at least explain where I was coming from and why I did what I did, intentionally or not.
