Username: TarkUwU

Ban reason: Failure to follow space law + Overescelation + Evading ahelp : As captain, tried to gib a traitor without following proper procedure, when asked about the issue, disconnected later without answering
Length of ban: Indefinite
Ban Issue:
I did not do what I was banned for

Events leading to the ban

I joined Vulture as captain half way into the shift to half the crew having AA, a fake HoP, an unhelpful HoS, and my office broken into and looted. When I was approached by the CE telling me that someone had killed him twice and tried to blow up the teg, I ordered over command radio for the hos to execute the individual. When I walked into the security department, I find the members of our security team standing idly around the individual discussing how long they should sentence him. At no point did I try to gib the person who killed the CE, I didnt even get to DOWN him before all of sec stun batoned me.

Reason the ban should be removed

The HoS failed to take his role seriously multiple times. Not only did he not take action on my call over command radio, but he directly disobeyed my orders to have a janitor with command level access (?) removed from the bridge.

In regards to “evading ahelp” I was only contacted AFTER the round had ended, and I had left to go the bathroom. By the time I had been able to get back to my computer, I was feeling annoyed and wanting a break, so I closed it and played something else.

Ok, breaking this down a bit.

Murder of one individual is not an executable offense under current space law, however they can be placed in perma since they’ll usually have stacking crimes related to it.
Ordering such and trying to enforce it directly is the space law violation.

We have no way to tell the circumstances behind why a player leaves the round after the fact. When someone disconnects without a response, we automatically assume ahelp evasion, and this is why your ban is indefinite.

If you hadn’t disconnected, this would probably have been a 3 day sec/command ban.

In light of the fact that it’s been a week, I’m accepting this appeal however.
