What I was banned for is not against the rules
Events leading to the ban
The start of my ban started with a round where I was playing a Station Engineer and I had setup most of Tesla and then went AFK for a few minutes. I returned and it seemed like the other Station Engineers had finished what I was doing so I then proceeded to do what many Station Engineers have done in the past rounds I’ve seen, setup a containment field in front of Engineering. It is specifically this map that I see this on and only this map due to the way the front is structured. It is a perfect spot for one and gives the Station Engineers a viewing spot from the tiders. After I had set it up a bit sloppily I had seen a Cyborg who was attempting to destroy it so I ordered them to stop and they had refused. According to AdmiralObvious consensual crew harm is not a law that Cyborgs need to follow so I took this as the Cyborg intentionally disregarding it’s laws to destroy something they didn’t need to so I decided to attempt to destroy their chasis. I originally had no plans to wipe their mind but once I couldn’t and saw their brain I thought to myself that I should do it because they could always just select positronic brain once more and told myself it isn’t round removing. Afterwards I was aHelped and became defensive and combative and I regret it immensely. I always feel the need to defend myself in these situations because in the moment I never think I am wrong. I still do not think I’m in the wrong for specifically putting up the containment field and defending it however I do think I am in the wrong for wiping his brain. Although they can never be truly RR’d I still should not have done it. I made a massive mistake by doing this and I shouldn’t have killed him either. I apologize for being defensive and combative in the aHelps I truly did not intend to be so defensive. All I wanted to do was avoid the admin remarks and explain my side of the situation. In the future I will be accepting whatever happens in game and instead try to explain on the correct forum options. I apologize.

Reason the ban should be removed
In no way shape or form did I ever once consider the physics of the containment field an exploit or bug to harm players intentionally. I was aware it was glitchy but I never took it as an actual exploit. I’ve seen this done by players before in the past and never attempted it myself so I thought I’d give it a try. When I say I participated in this in the past I never meant I built them personally. As soon as I was informed that players were regularly being pushed into space and walls towards the Tesla I had taken the precautions to fix that error by patching the sides which helped prevent deaths in very dangerous areas.
I have no excuse for over-escalation and I am at complete fault for this.
I would like to elaborate more on my actions for the other reasons as to why I’m banned but I’ll save that for another time as I don’t think this is the place for it.
