Events leading to the ban
I was playing clown and decided it would be funny to start being racist against lizards, most specifically red ones
Reason the ban should be removed
I obviously did break the rule, I know ignorance of the rules is not an excuse, but I thought these kinds of jokes if they weren’t about real-life races were generally ok.
I have played here for a long time without incident and will continue to do so if this appeal is accepted.
I am not expecting it to be removed immediately, because I only got banned recently, but my goal with this appeal is that it becomes a time-limited ban.
This ban has been placed to a vote amongst the administration.
The verdict has been to Deny this appeal and place a voucher requirement for future appeal attempts.
Some of the reasoning for this decision is as follows.
Extremely unnacceptable conduct throughout that round violating multiple rules.
Making sexual remarks throughout the round along side the Speciesist remarks.
Generally poor appeal attempt.
Safe to say that this appeal has completely failed to provide the team with any belief that you would not have a recurring incident like this again, given that it is one of the very first rules written in our rules page.
For these reasons, the admin team has decided to upgrade this ban to a voucher ban. You may appeal your ban, but only at least 6 months from now, and only with a voucher of good behavior from another SS13/SS14 server.
A voucher of good behavior should be obtained from a well-known or decently active SS13/SS14 server. If it is a mainstream server, we recommend using that server’s admin-help to ask for a voucher from one of the administrators explaining that you are trying to appeal a ban on SS14’s Wizard’s Den and want to show you have been a problem-free player during your playtime on the server. A voucher should be indicative of at least a few months of play.
