Events leading to the ban

Yesterday I was playing on Lizard. I got the spare ID Computer board and Communications Console/Computer board from the techvault on Convex, then a microwave board and ordered a bunch of personnel crates from Cargo.

After a lot of time waiting, I eventually got the setup working and I microwaved IDs until I got Command access. Then I changed my name and job to Vivian Conley, Captain (whom was the current captain in the server) and announced on the Communications Console/Computer:
“Hello Everyone! This is Vivian Conley, the Captain. And I just want to say that the allegations regarding me messaging the 15 year old slime on NanoChat are real.”

I did not know that this was rulebreaking and I thought it’d be a silly little joke to play, after that I made some other announcements until an admin messaged me. I assumed they had a problem with the joke I made, and it resulted in me getting banned.

Reason the ban should be removed

I genuinely did not know this was rulebreaking as I’ve seen other people do similar jokes to these on servers. It was late and I was starting to feel a bit bored, so in hindsight I should’ve probably just went to cryo. This is also my first gameban so I hope the admins can be a bit lenient on me.

There was some discussion about putting it to a seven-day ban per you setting up another player with it, but I opted for five.
