Detailed Summary: I have the honorable name of Shnipple of dwarf origin, originally there was some friction with my name for lacking a last name. So I gave him the name O’Teat. Now a group of mods conferred together and agreed my name was ok.
However, a creature known as Vexerot, shame be his name, decided that my name was “inappropriate” and was not to be allowed. This was after the initial discussion with the rest of the admin team. He disregarded the notes on my name and decided that the other admin opinions were worthless.
Shnipple O’Teat is an honorable dwarven name of Irish origin and I wish for my birthright back.
Your complaint is being denied for several reasons:
- You do not name any particular Admin Policy that was violated (“Name Change” is not an admin policy. It is a rule that was cited that you were in violation of, and it was in fact a rule you were violating)

You can clearly see where the admin who handled this indicated that the name “sounds fine for now” but also that “its still in debate” - This was a clear statement that the admin team was discussing the validity of your name selection.

Was informed "shnipple" on it's own is not an acceptable name for a dwarf under the rules. Agreed to change it.
It is abundantly clear based on the ahelp that this was not a guarantee that the name was fine, but that the admin team was considering if the name was acceptable. Vexerot was well within their duties to ask you to change your name.

You also made the claim that “O’Teat” is an Irish name. While the name may be made to seem Irish, the admin team came to the conclusion that - paired with your first name - it is far too close to being innuendo than we are comfortable having on our servers.

Lastly, “a group of mods conferred together and agreed my name was okay” simply did not happen. A discussion was made, yes, but a group consensus saying your name was acceptable was not the conclusion. For transparency, the initial ruling was that your name was that it was indeed close to an innuendo, potentially fine for a dwarf, and then it was actually agreed on that it was, in fact, too close to an innuendo. However, at the time no further action was taken.
Additionally, the format of your complaint - being made to sound like a roleplay, calling someone a “creature”, and “shaming” another person asserts that this was made in poor faith, and is additional grounds for denial.
