The ban is fair, but I would like a second chance or reduction

Events leading to the ban

I had been playing on the server for some time when an admin anounced they would be testing something new in the pre-round chat. The specifics were never given before round start. As it turned out, this new mechanic which appeared to allow players to freely pick up and move players as though they were items.

I believe I was a cargo technician for the shift and recall seeing this mechanic demonstrated by watching the QM be seemingly launched into space by a paramedic player. I was very confused and presumed the QM to be dead and sought out the HoP so someone could be promoted.
Along the way and whilst waiting in line other players began to pick my character up, with me repeatedly and firmly demanding to be put down and not touched. The picking up continued.
Eventually, the stress of the situation got to me IRL and so I sought a quick end to my shift.
I flushed myself through disposals and when I survived, I stumbled across a welder and welding fuel within maintainance.

I never intended to cause harm to others.
I only sought a quick end to my shift.
I have since learned of the cryo-pods which would have been a better option.
I lit the torch and struck the fuel.

Upon my character’s death, I instantly logged out, frustrated with the experience and determined not to be revived for more.
I had no intentions of avoiding admins.
I am sorry for what happened.
I am sorry I reacted the way that I did.

Reason the ban should be removed

First off, I would like to thank the admins for their time and dedication to this game.
Your labour of love does not go unnoticed and I am grateful I have been able to experience it.

Secondly, I would like to apologise for my actions.
I am still fairly new to the game and had been grinding experience within departments in order to try out new roles.
I did not realise the seriousness of my actions and now know of better ways to handle them.

Finally, I believe in second chances and hope that I can be forgiven for my actions.
I was very much enjoying the roleplay aspect of the game and whilst I may not have the most hours, I am comitted to learning and improving.

I am remorseful for the harm I caused and the seeming evasion of admins.
The circumstances were extra-normal and the stress bled through from roleplay into IRL and back into my actions.
I have since had time to reflect upon why the choices I made were poor and to consider better alternatives.
I would like a second chance to prove to everyone, especially myself, that I can be better.
I would like a chance to rejoin the servers and roleplay with others and make their experience the best it can be.
I would like a chance to correct my mistake and make you proud.

Thank you for your consideration.

What’s with the alt?

Alt created to verify ban staus.
Was used only once to connect to server and retrieve ban appeal link.

Why did you need to make an alt to verify the ban status, though? Like, that’s kinda baffling to me, so I just wanna see where you’re coming from on that

Alright, well - there’s no reason that logging into your regular account wouldn’t have shown you the ban status, so we’re looking at this as an attempt to make an alt and bypass the ban.

Due to your attempt to evade your ban, you are banned indefinitely. You may appeal your ban, but only at least 6 months after your last ban evasion attempt, and only with a voucher of good behavior from another SS13/SS14 server.

A voucher of good behavior should be obtained from a well-known or decently active SS13/SS14 server. If it is a mainstream server, we recommend using that server’s admin-help to ask for a voucher from one of the administrators explaining that you are trying to appeal a ban on SS14’s Wizard’s Den and want to show you have been a problem-free player during your playtime on the server. A voucher should be indicative of at least a few months of play. If the voucher is not from a mainstream server, let us know and we will figure out a way to verify it.

Added appeal-rejected and removed appeal-pending

Stupidity and desperation.
I don’t know what I was thinking
