Game admins will have loosened event restrictions while it is any of the following days in any time zone:
October 31th, 2024
While events may be more frequent during these times, no events are guaranteed as admins are not required to run events, and they may be busy doing things unrelated to SS14
They’re not super well defined, but basically there shouldn’t normally be major events every round.
Answering a prayer by spawning something is technically an event. An admin wouldn’t have an issue with answering multiple prayers by spawning small things like plushies or cookies every round, but normally you shouldn’t see something like 4 rounds in a row of admin induced chaos. Basically players shouldn’t feel like they’re not able to get a “normal” round in.
What the info given to admins says is that they can do events frequently, including uploading prototypes that persist across rounds. Players should still be given breaks between “memey” rounds, but they can be more frequent and non-memey events can be every round if that’s what an admin wants to do. They’re also given a list of some event ideas and usually they brainstorm some more.
That’s true, and unfortunately it can’t really. The announcement is mostly to set expectations. Someone who really doesn’t like events might want to do something else during this period.
It’d be nice if people were able to plan some events so that players knew when to get on in case they wanted to be involved, but I don’t think any admins have had the willingness to do that much planning for their events before. Every time we’ve loosened event restrictions in the past, at least a few admins have run events and some have put a good bit of preparation into them. It’s almost guaranteed that there will be events that wouldn’t have otherwise happened, we just can’t guarantee anything bc volunteers and there are 6 servers so even if someone runs events all day someone who plays on a different server might miss all of them
