Remove mice ghost roles

Why would eating food be considered griefing but killing you not? lmao.

I dont think mice are grief at all they are just not mechanically at peace with the game. The chef lacks an actual tool to deal with them other then traps but they are passive. Other then adding a ratslaying weapon like i suggested. It could be made so that as the mouse eats and eats this applies a multiplier on the food that they output when butchered.

Which would mean that no actual food is lost, just merely redirected. At the moment the mice are a black hole of food. They never seem to gain weight. So with the multiplier if you have an asshole mouse raid your kitchnen smash the thing and it’ll drop 30 meat rather then 1 or 2

I spy a chef that does not enjoy dealing with ratatouille. Honhonhon

But no really, if you need to deal with mice as chef, and are that annoyed,
Though some of these are reiterations of prior replies:
Use mousetraps (easily gotten)
Use poison
Use poisonous chemicals
Use your various kitchen implements to beat up and or stab
Borrow the Barkeep’s shotgun
Store the food in any storage
Use the food cart
Borrow the cat that spawns in medical
And of course if you are having trouble finding the mouse, you can check under tables by right clicking to see what sprites are on a tile or around your mouse(lol) or just use the wide swing of any given weapon to search around.

The reason the mice exist (to my understanding) is to make things related to food harder to simply stockpile and then leave around on the tables at the kitchen, as leaving a mess generally attracts rats in the first place.

it’s pretty hard to cook in SS14 without having stuff lying around on the main table

I usually use food cart or duffel to store stuff. Just keep it open while cooking

as a side note i have recently discovered that the mice are allergic to chocolate! Who knew!

as a mouse, you can shove crew into dispo bins if you do it right.

Last night I started the round as mouse and immediately rushed chem. I found a chemist already finished with like several chems. So I went around and shoving all the beakers and jugs which lead to all the chems being spilled on the floor along broken glass.

out of frustration, the chemist blew himself up along with the chem lab. And after he was revived, he found some botanist clothes and switched jobs.

10/10 would do again

All mobs with AnimalStomach take toxin damage from theobromine

I don’t agree with this change. Yes, mice are annoying, but they are mice. I can’t tell you how often during surgery, one sneaks in and eats a vital organ. I find it funny as hell. This has taught me to use bags and keep organs safe and not lay them on the floor like someone born in a barn. We have bags and bag vendors for this very reason. I know botany plants take a lot of space but being organized can easily prevent all the mischief. Some stations even have extra mousetraps in Tools and you can easily request more of them from cargo. You can even use food to lure them into one.
